Killarney Fish and Chips
We stopped at Quinlan’s for dinner to try their fish and chips for €11.95. Nathan ordered Haddock to compare against the Cod and found them very similar but the Haddock was a little more moist and fell apart easier. The batter was a little thicker and didn’t have much seasoning other than a little salt.

Treyvaud’s for Brunch
We had a great experience at Treyvaud‘s, a restaurant owned by the son of one of our original Master Chefs!
Nathan ordered Banger’s and Mash for €11.95 and received a perfectly cooked sausage beautifully displayed and sitting in delicious onion gravy. Could not get enough.
Jessica ordered the stew of the day which was a Guinness and beef Irish stew. The mashed potatoes were charred and added a nice smokey flavor and the beef was very flavorful. It was very good but the Front Door had them beat in flavor and heartiness.

Salvador’s Dinner in Killarney
After exploring a little of Killarney on 10/16/2012, we eyed some of the menus along the street for a balance between hearty and reasonable prices and found Salvador’s
Nathan ordered the Farmer’s Mixed Grill for €17.95 that came with a variety of meats and traditional irish pudding. Sadly they were out of the liver that Nathan was really looking forward to, but they substituted a second filet mignon cooked rare to perfection. The poachedegg could have been cooked a little softer to really enjoy the flavor, but overall it was a great plate of meat!
Jessica ordered the curry that seemed a little out of the norm for an Irish restaurant, and the chips served on the side didn’t go too well, but the curry itself was so savory and flavorful I was very happy with my order.
We finished the meal with a bowlful of icecream!
